For people and planet
Serious about sustainability
At Zip Water, sustainability is central to how we design, operate, and innovate.
Our latest Sustainability Report outlines the progress we’ve made in reducing our environmental impact, enhancing product efficiency, and driving circular design. It reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible innovation and a more sustainable future for people and the planet.
Inspiring a refill revolution
With instant access to delicious and pure-tasting water, we inspire people to refill their cups, glasses, and reusable bottles instead of resorting to single-use drinks bottles. It’s our way of saying so long to single-use plastic.
Every year, our products save over 2 billion single-use plastics from landfill, inspiring us to do even more for people and the planet.
Silver medallists in sustainability
In 2025, we earned an EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing us within the top 15% of companies assessed globally. This recognition reflects the strength of our sustainability management system and our commitment to transparency across our entire value chain.
Earning a Silver Medal demonstrates that Zip Water not only meets high international standards but continues to advance initiatives that minimise impact, improve transparency, and support long-term sustainability.
Year-on-year, we continue to improve our performance across the EcoVadis pillars (environment, ethics, labour, and human rights) while progressing our Science Based Target for net zero by 2025 and working to reduce our absolute GHG emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 50% before 2030.
Sustainable packaging
Zip is committed to eliminate unnecessary and problematic materials from our packaging through redesign, innovation, and alternative (reuse) delivery models. We believe in a circular solution which is why we are also a member of APCO to strengthen our commitment.
Our HydroTap packaging is 100% recyclable and up to 70% recycled materials.
How we’re actively reducing our emissions
We’re always striving to cut our carbon footprint. For example, our UK team has converted more than 50% of its fleet to electric vehicles, and we’ll have 100% converted to electric or hybrid by 2027.
From a renewables standpoint, our Condell Park factory’s solar panels generate up to 20% of the energy we need to manufacture Zip products here in Australia. While, in New Zealand, all operations are completely powered by renewable energy.
Zip HydroTap, backed by independent EPD
Zip HydroTap embodies our commitment to sustainable innovation—delivering instant, energy-efficient filtered water while helping reduce single-use plastics.
Backed by Australasia’s first EPD for an electrical product, it sets a new standard for transparency and environmental responsibility.

We ensure our team thrives in an organisation that’s free from discrimination and poor ethical practice. But that doesn’t just go for our employees. All our suppliers must also adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct and Modern Slavery Statement, available below.
